    1. What should he change his name to this time?

Because he can’t be VOP anymore

  1. Is there a less appealing politician than this guy? Years and years ago I met him with a knowledgeable friend alongside me who said, simply, “Oily.”

  2. Classic dictator aka politician – Limit the comment time and then interrupt to bleed off some of the comment time. Comment time should be increased to 5 minutes so that the speaker can help the listeners to connect all the dots. 2 minutes is a sham and the council knows it. Expect that the council will decrease it to 30 seconds in the future so that the public will never be heard.

    1. yes every time she was interrupted by a council member the clock should have reset.

and I understand there is a reason for the two minute limit and if it wasn’t enforced people would get up there and ramble on forever. but I believe there could have been a better way for this to have been handled.

    1. Right? The choice to flood it with Pacers articles that could’ve been consolidated into two, if not one story is telling.

  3. Vop is my city councilor and last year after he interrupted people during public comment and had them thrown out of a council meeting, I sat down with him and explained how most councilors don’t even respond to constituent emails and public comments is the only way for many of citizens to communicate with their public servants. He seemed to listen, then he did the same thing 2 months later. This latest council meeting, he was aware that the women who told their experience in the sex abuse investigation were unhappy with the accuracies with city council’s report. Vop knew they were coming despite refusing to communicate with them. He chose to interrupt Lauren Roberts and call her Ms Bobert, he chose to have the Sheriffs deputies manhandle women 6ft from his desk. He did not chose the public’s reaction to it, that which he regrets.

    1. Wildstyle, revered and respected voice of the community, has spoken! Thank you for your involvement and efforts.

  4. I love how politicians say really stupid stuff and get by with it by expressing regrets. They should have thought about it before they said/did it. If this happens in the private sector, heads roll.
