Indianapolis-based OnBoard announced plans this week to hire more than 50 new employees this year, including positions in sales, engineering, product development, customer success and marketing, as well as expand its Indianapolis headquarters to accommodate staff growth as employees return to office-based work.
OnBoard, which operates a board management platform used by more than 12,000 boards, also announced the expansion of its executive leadership team, with software sales veteran Kevin Donovan joining as chief revenue officer. Donovan previously led and scaled revenue teams at EVERC, Autotask and MapInfo.
“Kevin is an experienced sales coach who will lead OnBoard’s pursuit of aggressive growth targets through 2021 and beyond,” CEO Paroon Chadha said in a written statement.
The company is looking to expand its footprint the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific.
In the last 18 months, OnBoard—whose parent company is Indianapolis-based Passageways Inc.—has added more than 1,000 customers from more than 25 countries to its portfolio. Serving a wide range of industries and sectors, OnBoard “is the board intelligence platform of choice for enterprise corporations, higher education, professional associations, and financial institutions,” Chadha said.
On the heels of the global pandemic, board-led organizations have focused on digitizing the boardroom and board meetings. OnBoard’s portal is designed to create a one-stop shop for board meeting preparation, communication and real-time meetings and includes Azure-based security and Zoom integration.
“The pandemic showed everyone that promise of digital transformation, whether born of necessity or desire, is profound,” Chadha said. “For boards and leadership teams of any organization, digital transformation means better collaboration, improved communication, increased agility and ultimately, better organizational performance.”
Launched in 2011, OnBoard now serves more than 2,000 organizations and their 12,000 boards and committees in 32 countries worldwide.
In April, Passageways unveiled a strategic update of OnBoard, including a new logo, brand identity, website and a refreshed user experience.
“The new Onboard brand and its evolved positioning supports our growing leadership in the market illustrated by the rapid expansion, customer acquisition, and support activities we’re enjoying in international markets, including Canada, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand,” said Rob Kunzler, OnBoard chief marketing officer. “Coupled with the complex enterprise customers we’ve partnered with in high tech, health care, higher education and financial services, it’s clear that Onboard continues to demonstrate category leadership.”
