Mark Lowry

Mark Lowry has stepped down as head coach of the Indy Eleven, the team announced Tuesday.

Lowry, 38, became the fourth non-interim coach in November 2021 and compiled a regular-season record of 25-28-15 over two seasons with the Indianapolis professional soccer team, which plays in the United Soccer League Championship Eastern Conference.

The Eleven went 12-17-5 under Lowry in 2022 and made the playoffs for the first time in four years in 2023 with a 13-11-10 regular-season record.

The team thanked Lowry for “his service with the club” and wished him “the very best in his future endeavors.” It said a search for a new head coach would begin immediately.

Lowry, a native of Birmingham, England, previously coached El Paso Locomotive FC in USL play for three seasons, compiling an overall record of 42 victories, 19 losses and 29 draws.

  1. Indy 11 owner is a scam artist, he want the city to build his hotel dreams. The team is nice but doesn’t make real money, so he will fund it until he gets what he wants.

    1. There’s no merrit or evidence to your wild claim of Mr. Ozdemir. This freedom of speech practice in America sometimes is overrated and abused. I get you’re expressing your opinion but to suggest the man is a scam artist because he wants to build a signature stadium his team is a stretch and reckless on your part to accuse the man of being a scam artist. In case you didn’t know, the FACTS are MR. Ozdemir and his company Keystone group has to front 20% of the $1 billion dollar Eleven Park project before the city gives any incenitives to help with construction cost. Not sure where you’re getting your information from but the IBJ has done plenty of articles on the subject.
