Subscribe NowNewVista Behavioral Health, a Worthington, Ohio-based operator of behavioral health hospitals and substance abuse rehabilitation centers, plans to spend $6 million to renovate the recently-closed Eagle Creek Healthcare Center on the west side of Indianapolis, it announced Thursday.
The renovated facility at 4102 Shore Drive, near West 46th Street and Interstate 465, will be called Ethan Crossing of Indianapolis and feature a 42-bed hospital and inpatient behavioral health unit as well as a 46-bed residential Substance Use Disorder, or SUD, unit.
The 45,000-square-foot facility is expected to open later this summer.
“We understand the need for specialized, evidence-based programming is so vital to a successful and sustainable recovery for many,” Isaac Rosedale, president and CEO of NewVista, said in written remarks. “Hoosiers currently have limited resources, especially for those in rural Indiana, and that is why we are extremely proud to bring this all-encompassing addiction treatment and behavioral health campus to the area.”
NewVista said Ethan Crossing will offer adults and seniors medication-assisted treatment, therapeutic interventions that promote stress reduction, recreational therapy, expressive therapy and more.
NewVista, which has five facilities in Ohio, is currently hiring staff for the Indianapolis location.
