  1. The most logical first step is to prosecute those who violate existing gun regulations. Those who lie on their background checks should be fully prosecuted. Those who are not eligible to possess a firearm should be fully prosecuted. Those who use guns in crimes should be fully prosecuted. Those who obtain guns illegally should be fully prosecuted.

I don’t think people who follow the law should be treated like criminals. Unfortunately, gun control laws are tasked with doing exactly that: turning lawful activities into unlawful ones.

There are millions of uses of guns to stop crimes. Why aren’t these cited as a reason to avoid imposing more gun control laws which give power to criminals?

  2. Here’s a news flash for Komrade Pierre: The Common Ground on this was broached when the Constitution and its Amendments (The Bill of Rights) were written. Read ’em and weep.

At least you got one thing right: “Many American gun owners view the firearm as not just a tool for hunting, recreational shooting or self-defense, but as a symbol and a guarantor of individual liberty.” If you read the founder’s intent, you’ll see that The Right to Bear Arms was viewed as a guarantee against government tyranny…a position that will hopefully become more obvious to you the longer the current collectivists are in office!

    1. I’m not going to debate you, Bob P., because that would be illogical on my part. But did you even read all of this? Did you read Justice Scalia’s comments? Do you understand what it means when someone says “rights are not all absolute?”
