A 15-year-old Indianapolis girl who was intentionally run down by an SUV driver last month died Thursday night. Dawn Carter
and her mother were struck May 22 by Derek Dewitt, 43, while they stood in the median of Kessler Boulevard while trying to
raise funds for the Indiana School for the Deaf girls' basketball team. Dewitt said he was not taking his schizophrenia
medication at the time and struck the pair on purpose because he “saw something evil.” The girl had been hospitalized
since the incident. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
