Earlier in the season, Marvin Hamlisch had to bow out of a Hilbert Circle Theatre concert for a very good reason: He was
expected to be in attendance at the Golden Globe Awards, where he was nominated for Best Original Film Score for “The
Informant.”
The payback is very appropriate, with Hamlisch leading a summer concert celebrating the music of the movies.
His own movie resume runs deep, with Hamlisch-penned music heard in films ranging from “Ice Castles” to “The
Spy Who Loved Me” and from “Three Men and a Baby” to, of course, “The Way We Were.” Details
