Two homes and one business building were damaged in southeast-side fires early Friday morning. Indianapolis firefighters battled a blaze that caused minor damage to a vacant house near English Avenue and Rural Street at about 3 a.m. Arson investigators were called to the scene. Two hours later, a home in the 4700 block of Southeastern Avenue suffered fire damage estimated at $65,000. No injuries were reported. Beech Grove firefighters responded to another blaze at 5:51 a.m. Access Mobility Inc.'s offices suffered minor damage when a battery charger for a forklift caused a fire.
