A tornado watch is in effect until 6 p.m. for central Indiana and until 7 p.m. Friday for surrounding areas. Hail up to 2 inches in diameter and wind gusts of 70 miles per hour are possible, as well as dangerous lightning. The greatest threat for tornados Friday exists in the south and eastern third of Indiana as well as in central Kentucky and Tennessee. The first wave of storms rolled through the Indianapolis area Friday morning but another wave is expected after 2 p.m.
