A firefighter suffered minor injuries Tuesday night while battling a Wayne Township house fire. The home, in the 4000 block of West Michigan Street, suffered extensive heat and smoke damage. Crews responded to the blaze at 10:30 p.m. and had it under control in about 15 minutes. No one was home at the time. Neighbors said the house was under renovation, and one witness said someone ran away from the scene just before the fire began.
