A garage fire early Tuesday morning on the south side of the city damaged an electrical transformer, knocking out power to about 45 Indianapolis Power & Light customers. Fire crews had to avoid downed power lines when they battled the fire in the 3700 block of South Randolph Street about 4:40 a.m. No injuries were reported.
