Thirty four local organizations that improve the lives of low-to-moderate income seniors received grants totaling $693,506 from the Central Indiana Senior Fund.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis received $10,500, the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis received $9,000 and the American Cancer Society received $5,500 from KAR Auction Services Inc.
Conner Prairie Interactive History Park received a gift of $1 million from Reynolds Farm Equipment and Gary and Cindy Reynolds.

Congresswoman Susan Brooks was named Government Leader of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
