Announcements
The Indiana Historical Society has announced that proposals are now being accepted for their Heritage Support Grants, an initiative made possible by Lilly Endowment Inc. In observance of Indiana’s Bicentennial, the first round of grant recipients will be announced in the summer of 2016. Eligible organizations must be incorporated as nonprofits in the state of Indiana with history as a significant component of their missions and annual budgets of less than $300,000. Guidelines and applications are available on the IHS website at www.indianahistory.org/grants.

The American Heart Association to benefit from its annual Heart Walk & 5K on Sept. 12 at White River State Park. Gates open at 8 a.m., opening ceremonies are at 9:30 and the walk and 5K begin at 10 a.m. The walk is free, however, participants are encouraged to fundraise.
