Arizona-based Levementum, a Salesforce.com Inc. partner, has launched an Indianapolis-based practice, the company announced—one of the latest examples of the software giant attracting such consultancies here.

Levementum, like other partners, helps companies integrate Salesforce software into their businesses. The new Indianapolis practice is specifically for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, a division of San Francisco-based Salesforce born out of its acquisition of ExactTarget in 2013.

Levementum has about 10 employees in temporary space in Broad Ripple, including former senior level consultants from Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The practice plans to move downtown within the next 90 days, officials said, and add between 10 and 15 employees by the end of 2016.

A spokesperson for Levementum, which has 45 employees company-wide, said its Indianapolis expansion was not directly influenced by Salesforce's announcement earlier this month to add 800 jobs by 2021.

"However, the continued growth of Salesforce and, specifically, the growth and energy around the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, was a factor in the decision to start this practice," a spokesperson said in an email. "Levementum chose Indianapolis so we would be physically close to the Marketing Cloud team, as well as the ability to pull from talent in the city."

The local Salesforce partner roster includes large firms such as Appirio Inc. and smaller shops like Precision Dialogue Marketing LLC, a Cleveland-based company that launched an Indianapolis office here last year to get closer to Salesforce.
