  1. Historians will have a field day marking the Trump administration as the end of the period of America being the preeminent world superpower and will be mystified as to how voters ever believed what he sold the populace.

    Everything Trump touches dies.

  2. Fascinating that the left who claims to stand for workers rights, living wages, and individual dignity, supports allowing illegal and legal aliens living five families to a house and barely making a living so they can have cheap personal servants and low roofing and vegetable prices.

    1. Fascinating that the right who claims to stand for workers rights, living wages, and individual dignity, supports **demolishing the social safety network so that Americans will be** living five families to a house and barely making a living so they can have cheap personal servants and low roofing and vegetable prices.

There, I fixed it for you.

    2. This, from a famous lefty:
“We lead the world because, unique among nations, we draw our people—our strength—from every country and every corner of the world. And by doing so we continuously renew and enrich our nation. While other countries cling to the stale past, here in America we breathe life into dreams. We create the future, and the world follows us into tomorrow. Thanks to each wave of new arrivals to this land of opportunity, we’re a nation forever young, forever bursting with energy and new ideas, and always on the cutting edge, always leading the world to the next frontier. This quality is vital to our future as a nation. If we ever closed the door to new Americans, our leadership in the world would soon be lost.” Ronald Reagan 1989

    3. Fascinating that Republicans still, to this day, cannot manage an economy and deploy absurd bad-faith arguments to try and score cheap political points. You give zero craps about the well-being of immigrants, so you can go sit down while adults talk.

  3. Econ 101. Without population growth, either internally or through immigration, economies will not grow. It takes people and consumption to grow an economy. Fair and balanced immigration policies are key to this. This is also where the AI play falls flat. Without consumers, which AI is not (except for resources), there is no economy. People are the key to every healthy economy unless power is consolidated and everyday survival is no longer guaranteed.

No one is forcing immigrants to come here. They come here to better their lives and their family’s lives just as every American’s family did at some point in history. A legal path to citizenship is the answer unless there is some other milicious intent at play.

  4. Hating immigrants gives the Republicans an enemy that can’t vote. It helped them tap into the racist streak that still simmers in many voters. The actual Republican policies are terrible for America, but you have to scare or fool people into voting before you can seize power and consolidate a MAGA autocracy.

  5. The seething racism that pulses through the Republican Party knows no bounds. They will happily smash the economy and quality of life for everyone if that means Brown and Black people suffer. They did it in the 1960s, too. Their fiery hatred for anyone who isn’t White trumps everything else.

  6. Indianapolis is overflowing with experts on immigration, economics and foreign policy. I’m surprised we don’t move the nation’s capital here.
Why don’t all of you know it all’s run for office or move to Washington DC since you obviously have all the answers.
