A semi-truck crashed into a utility pole near 116th Street and Allisonville Road in Fishers Monday morning, knocking out power for about 1,700 Duke Energy customers. The driver was trying to park his rig when he hit the pole, causing power lines to fall on the truck’s cabin. He was trapped inside for about an hour. The 4:30 a.m. accident temporarily shut down traffic at the busy intersection.
An explosion at the Rolls-Royce Corp. manufacturing plant on the west side injured one worker Monday morning. The employee suffered burns to his face and chest when a heat-treating furnace exploded.
