  1. I have great respect for Curt Smith,a leading conservative thinker. But Dollyne Sherman, a “moderate”? Sherman was the only candidate in her race to be endorsed by NRA ,AND INRightToLife. She voted for the “fetal remains” bill,(her opponent lobbied against it). It is one thing to make an argument for courting the conservative base. It is quite another to create “facts” in order to support conclusions, when the “facts” damage the reputation of an honorable conservative. An apology is owed to Rep. Sherman.

  2. Is discontent the right word, or could it be possibly a flawed primary system, coupled with Republican gerrymandering, going to extremes in this polarized environment? I suspect that most of the successful candidates are far right of center. This is just a logical expression of where, unfortunately, the Republican Party seems to be heading.

  3. Over 40,000 Indiana Republicans voted for William Weld, who dropped out of the presidential race three months ago, instead of voting for Donald Trump… and Eric Holcomb got 18,000 more votes than Trump.

But Holcomb, the one who released a poll showing he’s got a 79% approval rating, is the one dealing with displeasure? I’m sure the thoughts of this “leading conservative thinker” are keeping the Holcomb campaign up at night.

Opinion: When it comes to your stance on an issue, if you’re on the same side as Clark/Miller/Smith, reassess your position.

    1. COMPLETELY agree. Those three must be beside themselves after this week’s Supreme Court decisions! 🙂

  4. Mainstream Hoosier Republicans would do well campaigning on traditional GOP values rather than contrivances by a self-aggrieved so-called base.
