State reports 700 new COVID-19 cases, 10 more deaths

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day. Indiana has seen cases rise by 4,307 over the past week, an average of 615 per day. That compares with an increase of 3,032 over the previous week, an average of 433 per day.

COVID-19 cases

*New cases: 700

Total cumulative cases reported Wednesday: 53,370

Total cumulative cases reported Tuesday: 52,685

Increase in cumulative cases: 685

Increase in cases reported July 9-15: 4,305

Increase in cases reported July 2-8: 3,111

COVID-19 deaths

New deaths: 10

Total deaths: 2,592

Increase in deaths reported July 9-15: 53

Increase in deaths reported July 2-8: 72

COVID-19 testing

*New tests: 8,343

Total cumulative tests reported Wednesday: 586,589

Total cumulative tests reported Tuesday: 578,409

Increase in cumulative tests: 8,180

Available ICU beds: 35.5%

*New cases and tests are previously unreported cases and tests submitted to the Indiana State Health Department in the 24 hours through 11:59 p.m. the previous day. This category typically contains numerous duplicates—as many as 20% or more—that are later eliminated from the cumulative totals.

  1. So Indiana has had a total of 2592 deaths (pumped up?). Subtract out the nursing home deaths and you get 1347 pumped up deaths.
    Divide that by the Indiana population of 6.7 million and you get .0002 of our population has died from Covid-19. How many of those had underlying health issues or died from other causes and were counted Covid deaths for funding or political reasons?

    Why no masks at the worst week of this CDC chart and only now at the best week?
