Indiana reports another 582 COVID-19 cases as testing slows

The Indiana State Department of Health on Monday reported 582 new COVID-19 cases, its lowest number of new cases in a week, as testing slowed considerably. The department typically reports lower numbers of cases and testing on Mondays as reporting slows over the weekend.

The department on Monday reported the testing of 6,470 more individuals, the lowest number since July 13.

Marion County reported an increase of 153 cases, the 18th straight day that cases in the county have risen by more than 100. The county’s 7-day testing-positivity rate rose to 9%, above the state’s 7-day rate of 7.5%

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day.
