  1. I can remember, back in the late ’90s, when expansion of gaming was discussed in the Senate, that President Pro Tem Garton said that someday there would be a big gambling scandal involving the legislature. Let’s hope this is the last one.

  2. Good article. If Senator Borst had survived his primary challenge against a virtual unknown candidate we would have a totally different outcome on the entire issue. More fair and transparent. It does make one wonder how a very popular and honest Senator such as Larry Borst could lose by 14 votes in the primary. Huhhhh! It will be interesting to see how it all comes out.
