Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19, however, continued to rise, reaching an all-time high Saturday of 3,392.
The health department reported the testing of 14,373 new individuals, but said the totals included a historic load of 2,231 negative lab tests to individuals.
Indiana reported another 24 deaths from COVID-19, the lowest number in a daily report since Nov. 15, when 22 new deaths were reported.
COVID-19 patients occupy 43.8% of the state’s intensive care beds. The state said 24.9% of its ICU beds are still available.
