  1. The GOP claims to be Pro-life but they don’t act like it. Don’t want to wear masks, get vaccinated or social distance. Lax gun control. Don’t care about those living in poverty. White supremacy groups like the Proud Boys and Oath keepers storming the capital. No health care plan. They just support policies that improve the wealth of the rich.

Meanwhile because of their former ruthless corrupt evil leader GOP governors are killing people with their COVID policies.

    1. I used to think they were pro-birth but they don’t even feel strongly about the health of pregnant women… so they can’t even make that case any longer.

The evangelical Christians who vote blindly Republican because abortion is the only issue they care about should consider they might be in for a rude awakening when they reach the heavenly gates one day.

  2. Thanks for including the recent stats on the breakthrough cases. Those numbers are astounding (to me). I just checked 2 days ago. Positives went from 9922 to 12783. Hospitalizations rose by 50 in two days. And, 10 of our 30 deaths in the past 2 days are breakthroughs.

That’s one of the tough realities when trying to find a vaccine for an airborne virus of this nature. Because the virus evolves so rapidly (due to its short life cycle), its capacity to evade the vaccine could be very great. And, it is sometimes difficult to guess what a virus will become when manufacturing vaccines (which is why some people still get really sick with the flu even though they took a flu vaccine–e.g., they got infected with a variant).

    1. What also appears to be happening is that they’re learning on the fly that boosters are required. The most elderly are the ones who got the first shots, so they’re …. 8 months out from that?

Based on the experience from Israel … feels like the nursing homes and those over 70 need shots ASAP.
