  1. Just get vaccinated and boosted. Whatever happened to the “personal responsibility” Reagan used to idolize?

A year after the first vaccinations, it should be “Morning in America” and not “Nightmare on Elm Street 13”.

    1. Darwinism at it’s finest. I have family that’s 60+ years old taking the risks. Nothing I can do for them at this point.

  2. deaths practically nil. Three for the whole state and none in Marion county. Isn’t that the point to reduce deaths? Those that are opposed to the crowd that chooses to not be vaccinated are generally the ones with the Pro-Choice abortion crowd. My body My choice needs to prevail in each case whether you agree or not

    1. Anyone who has been paying attention to these reports will remember that the first report of the week always has very few deaths, if any. That’s a reflection of the reporting system, not the reality. The actual deaths from the weekend will catch up eventually. Note that this story also shows a seven-day average of 20 deaths. That means 140 in a week, which to my value system is not “practically nil.” As for the “my body my choice” bit, as has been repeated here again and again, it’s truly not that simple here. “Your choice” is filling up hospitals, spreading the disease further and making it all the more likely that more variants will develop that potentially will be even more dangerous. “Your choice” means we are all at risk for a longer pandemic, and that a car crash victim or heart attack sufferer won’t be able to get care because the hospital is too full of unvaccinated COVID patients, who are more at risk for severe cases of COVID than vaccinated people are. “Your choice” will drive up your medical bills, which we then will all pay for through the private or public insurance you carry. “Your choice” could lead to the death of a loved one, friend or coworker. “Your choice” really does affect other people, if that matters at all to you.

    2. beg to differ Steve. Your assumption is that only the unvaccinated are driving all the numbers. Clearly now we see that the quote ‘vaccine’ is not one at all as infection rates of those vaccinated mimic the unvaccinated, ala break through cases, viral shedding, and etc. Which proves it’s not really a vaccine at all. Could it suppress the symptoms somewhat perhaps, but these people still occasionally need hospitalization as well. Given the high level of misinformation from the current administration I choose to take any ‘data’ reporting with a grain of salt. Maybe you should too.

    3. Jeffrey, comments like yours are pretty easy to refute. Get better news.
