    1. If you look at the drawing very closely it looks like the background is an aerial photograph and the marked area looks to me like a cornfield (or a beanfield, some kind of field at least).

  1. So all of the new residential development in the area gets put in the flight path of future cargo jets? Seems counter intuitive to the growth plan.

  2. The airport authority needs to be aggressive in purchasing land surrounding this airport to facilitate the expansion of a second Indianapolis air cargo hub based upon the boom in cargo warehousing surrounding this airport.

      On a related note, whatever happened to the idea of a third parallel runway at IND across I-70? I know they graded the road to enable a bridge…

    2. Joe B. – Last I heard (not all that long ago) the third runway south of I-70 was still a part of the master plan and likely to become the primary runway for FedEx.
