Crews try to put lid on potholes

February 12, 2010

Now that they’ve cleared much of the snow, Indianapolis Department of Public Works crews are stashing the plows and switching to pothole patrol. City officials say they attempt to repair the gashes in streets within two days of receiving a complaint, but the latest snowfall has caused delays. Drivers can file claims with the city for pothole-related damages. For example, motorist Delisa Brown told Fox59 that her car needed $3,500 in repairs after a pothole incident and that she has asked the city to refund her. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
