Several schools on the south side of Indianapolis were put on lockdown Friday morning as police searched for a suspect in two robberies. Police say a robber held up the Old National Bank branch at 5943 S. East St. about 8:15 a.m. The heist happened about 10 minutes after another robbery, at Crown Liquors at 711 E. Thompson Road. Police aren’t sure if the same person or people robbed both places, but they said it’s probable. Schools put on lockdown included Southport High School, Rise Learning Center and Special Services, Henry Burkhart Elementary, Homecroft Elementary and St. Mark Catholic School. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
