The Indianapolis Public Schools board voted Thursday night 5-2 to approve a $509 million budget for next school year. The
budget is about 4.5 percent larger than last year’s budget. More than $70 million is slated for capital improvement
projects, such as repairs and upgrades to current IPS buildings.
