Subscribe NowJoseph Turner, who was convicted of shooting an Anderson police dog to death after robbing a bank, was sentenced Tuesday morning to 12 years in prison and six additional years of probation. Turner, 22, pleaded guilty last month to five felonies, including armed robbery, in connection with his Aug. 18 crimes. Turner robbed a PNC branch of more than $2,300 at gunpoint and shot the K-9 officer, named Magnum, while being chased by police.
