Forty one of the Fever’s 44 regular-season games will be available on one of a number of channels or platforms, including ABC, ESPN, ION, CBS, NBA TV and Prime Video. The team’s local broadcast schedule is yet to be announced.
The Fever will have the most nationally televised or streamed appearances, followed by Las Vegas with 33 and defending champion New York with 32.
Games on June 7 and Aug. 9 between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky will be shown on CBS and in primetime nationally for the first time in WNBA history.
The Saturday night games will feature Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and the Sky’s Angel Reese. Clark and Reese were the only WNBA players to receive Rookie of the Year votes last season, with Clark topping Reese 66-1.
The three Fever games not currently set for national broadcast are June 10 against the Atlanta Dream, July 5 against the Los Angeles Sparks, and July 30 against the Phoenix Mercury. The July games are scheduled to take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Thursday’s announcement sets a benchmark for the league as it prepares for its first-ever 44-game regular season.
It’s another nod to the growing popularity of both the league and the Fever. So far, four WNBA teams have rescheduled home games against the Fever to larger arenas, and at least two other teams included games at larger venues for games against the Fever on their original schedule.
The Fever were the league’s top draw by far in Clark’s rookie season last year, drawing an average crowd of 16,083 per game overall and 15,131 on the road. They sold out almost all 20 home games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, averaging an attendance of 17,035.
The team has had a busy off-season, adding to their roster league veterans DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard, Sophie Cunningham, Brianna Turner and Sydney Colson, and retaining Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull.
The Fever will play their first preseason game, against the Washington Mystics, at home on May 3.
The WNBA will have more than 175 games broadcast across multiple platforms in the regular season, including 13 on ABC. The network will have an opening weekend doubleheader of Las Vegas against New York and Chicago vs. Indiana on May 17.
“The WNBA is coming off a 2024 season in which incredible basketball and countless memorable performances paved the way for the WNBA to deliver a record-breaking season,” said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert in written remarks. “Now, with so much excitement around the player movement that took place this winter through free agency and trades, the WNBA’s broadcast and streaming partners in 2025 will spotlight the league’s superstars, rising stars and must-see matchups like never before.”
