Rahal gets another season of backing from Steak n Shake

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing said Thursday that Steak n Shake is back for a second season of sponsorship for Graham Rahal.

The Indianapolis-based restaurant chain will be the primary sponsor of Rahal's Honda at five IndyCar Series events, including races in St. Petersburg, two at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Mid-Ohio and Sonoma. Maxim Magazine branding will continue to be featured on the car. Both companies are owned by Biglari Holdings Inc.

Rahal was ranked a career-best second place entering the double-points race at Sonoma Raceway and had hopes for the championship. He ultimately finished 18th in the event and fourth overall in for the season.

Steak n Shake was primary sponsor for six races and added primary sponsorship late in the season to support Rahal's bid for a title.
