South Bend-based GramTel USA Inc. has been acquired by Cincinnati Bell Inc. for about $20 million.
GramTel, which was a unit of Chicago-based Jordan Industries Inc., provides disaster recovery, data backup and related services. It expects to post revenue of about $5 million for 2007, a 73-percent increase from 2006.
In early December, Cincinnati Bell acquired Carmel-based eGix Inc. in a deal valued at $18 million. eGix provides bundled voice and data services, plus high-speed Internet access and messaging products, to about 17,000 customers, mainly in Indiana and Illinois.
