If we could only concentrate more on Public Education. That is what makes a city great and continuing to prosper. The expansion of questionable charters only drains funds from our public schools, then the politicians wonder why public education is on a decline. Lets really back our public schools and make then better. They dont take our money and then fail or close as so many of the charters have done.
This is typical of what happens in every state with such expansive voucher systems. I’m not sure why this would even be news, since it is expected and predictable. Statistics show 30% of charters fail in 4 years.
Just another tax payer ripoff from the party of “low taxes” and small government, where the main goal is funnel tax money to religious institutions and the for profit entities that spent the most lobbying dollars.
At least the religious schools educate their students.
