  1. This is just dumb. China would have slowly imploded on its own w/ its planned economy & impending demographic collapse.

    We could’ve just on-shored national security sensitive industries with big incentives (i.e. the CHIPS Act) and simply not stopped ~25% of the country’s total imports all at once.
