Damn, Holcomb is the new Candy Man. He can’t resist just about any new spending idea that comes along, and now wants to open the state to foreign refugees. This boy is no conservative; just another RINO.
Your argument is that education is holistically not a conservative ideal?
Explains your use of punctuation…
“Teacher union leaders and Democratic legislators maintain the state has money to give more to schools now.”
A better idea is to abolish the State’s involvement in education and let the schools and their customers (parents and students) work it out.
Above two comments are why I don’t live in Indiana anymore.
Holcomb and Bosma are just playing “good cop” / “bad cop”.
Holcomb needs to show that he is trying to bring a teachers’ raise while looking to the 2020 campaign.
Bosma is bowing out with nothing to lose.
Ultimately, Republicans will keep the lid on pay raises for teachers.
