    1. It’s the same thing. Covid doesn’t kill you per se; it causes your lungs and other vital organs to fail, so it that sense it is a “covid-related” death. You need to loosen the strap on your red MAGA hat.

  1. Wasn’t this the fewest number of cases in months? Where do we hear about this? Why are you always finding the dark side of this issue. And you might want to cut the comments on Alan’s MAGA hat. I assume you don’t really want to Make American Great Again, right? Your liberal reporting has resulted in me cancelling my subscription to the Indianapolis BUSINESS Journal. It used to be about Business and business only, but like the rest of the liberal press, you drank the Kool-Aid. Shameful……….

  2. Michael, this was not the smallest number of cases in months. There were 576 cases last Monday. And 561 cases the previous Monday. Cases on Mondays are actually going up. Almost everything about this pandemic has an effect on business. That’s why we cover it.

  3. Just to be clear though, on 7/27, there were 561 but it was 8.66% of those reported tests. On 8/3, there were 576 but it was 8.95% of the 6,439 tests reported that day. The 664 reported on 8/10 were only 6.04% of the 10,986 new tests. That is the lowest percentage since June 30, per my recordkeeping. [But, this includes a new reporting entity, and it might lead to an anomaly later this week–like if the positive results are delayed for additional testing/confirmation.] Jeff N. thanks for continuing the reporting and for responding to comments.

  4. And, since the new facility was reporting results from May 2 through Aug. 9, the percentages would have been all over the place. At some points in that wide date range, we were at 3% positivity rates. So, this August 10 report may have been a complete anomaly the whole way around.
