  1. Still a big beautiful airport with few too full-size aircraft. Still Indy languishes in the shadow of truly international airports such as Chicago, Detroit and even Nashville

    1. LOL. I don’t think IND “languishes behind” Nashville and the other 2 are major hubs in major cities. 80% of the airports in the country “languish” behind Detroit and O’Hare

  2. BREAKING: Indy Reconnects with Chicago – For Some Reason

After a 5-year break (which honestly felt peaceful), Southwest is bringing back nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Chicago Midway. That’s right, Hoosiers can now fly directly into potholes, deep dish, and disappointment twice a day, year-round.

Airport execs say it offers “more flexibility,” which is code for “we guess someone wanted this?”

Meanwhile, Delta’s also reviving flights to Raleigh-Durham, because Eli Lilly is investing big there, unlike Chicago, where our only investment is avoiding it.

So buckle up, Indy! We can now soar straight into the Windy City’s traffic, taxes, and general chaos, without a single stop to think it over.

  3. Back in the day I was able to take the train to Chicago. A nice peaceful ride without endless long lines, rude agents and hours waiting to board. But Indiana in its wisdom has eliminated all rail service to Chicago or pretty much anywhere. They have bus service but take it from me you don’t want to try that!!! So, you either fly with much hassle or defy death on I65. That highway remindes me of the Mad Max movie! It closes almost everyday for an accident in multiple places. The police are nowhere to be seen until a maniac wrecks.

  4. The delta flight to RDU is daily per other sources. Twice a week flights are kind of worthless for business destinations IMO. But from what I have seen the flight is returning daily. I would look into this IBJ.
