Two pre-pandemic-era flights will return to Indianapolis this month, taking passengers to destinations on the East Coast and in the Midwest.
The new nonstop destination is one of four the airline has announced from Indianapolis International Airport this month.
Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez said the Key West flight marks No. 21 in a lineup of nonstop flights announced by the airport so far in 2021.
The airport has added nearly 20 nonstop routes since the start of the year, a number that’s still shy of pre-pandemic levels but is a sign of recovery, at least in leisure travel.
The flights, which will run from May 27 through Labor Day weekend, will connect Indianapolis with cities in Maine and South Carolina.
Routes to both cities begins at the end of May. The airline also plans to offer service from Indianapolis to Rapid City, South Dakota, in August for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The flights are set to depart Indianapolis twice daily Sunday though Friday and once on Saturdays starting May 7. Tickets will begin going on sale this weekend.
