If it ultimately leads to Lilly drugs that get approved and sold in the market, it doesn’t really matter where the research happens…it leads to gains for Lilly staff (the vast majority of whom are in Indiana), Lilly stockholders, and most importantly for Indiana, the Lilly Endowment (which owns >10% of the company).
