Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana and the Indianapolis Museum of Art are collaborating to offer tours of local homes in conjunction with IMA’s International Arts & Crafts Exhibition, which opened Sept. 25.

A half-day motorcoach tour on Oct. 23 will allow those interested in the Arts and Crafts architectural and design movement to view buildings that typify the design.

The tour will visit four private homes and a church in the historic Irvington neighborhood on the east side. The area was home to many artists and writers in the early 20th century who used Arts and Crafts design elements in their homes.

An Oct. 15 tour featured six private homes in the north-side neighborhoods of Oliver Johnson’s Woods and Meridian Park.

The Irvington tour costs $55 for Historic Landmarks or IMA members, or $60 for non-members, and includes a ticket to the IMA exhibit and a coupon for a free dessert at Puck’s restaurant at IMA.
