An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer responded to an alarm from an east-side home early Monday morning to find the house next door on fire. Smoke from the fire at the home near 32nd Street and Arlington Avenue slowly crept into the neighboring building and set off the alarm, according to an Indianapolis Fire Department official. Two firefighters were slightly injured while fighting the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
