M&I Bank has named Tim Massey president of its Indiana Region.

Massey joined M&I’s predecessor, First Indiana Bank, in 2006 as chief lending officer and most recently was regional executive vice president of M&I’s Indiana commercial banking activities.

Massey, who has worked in Indiana banking for 30 years, holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Butler University.

Massey succeeds Reagan Rick, who M&I promoted to be group vice president over its Indiana, Minnesota, Kansas City and St. Louis regions.

M&I, based in Milwaukee, Wisc., holds about $2 billion in deposits in central Indiana, making it the fifth-largest bank in the region.

First Indiana shareholders approved the $529 million merger with M&I in late 2007.
