A 14-year-old boy with special needs was found safe at an Avon hospital at 3 a.m. Tuesday. Earlier in the morning, fire and police personnel were called to a neighborhood near West 10th Street and Country Club Road to help find the boy after he disappeared from his home. They tracked signals from the boy’s Project Lifesaver bracelet, which helps guardians keep track of children with autism, to a retention pond. The boy apparently cut off his bracelet and threw it into the pond.
