A 28-year-old man died Tuesday night on the near-north side of Indianapolis after police used a stun gun on him following an alleged drug deal. Two off-duty Marion County deputies said they saw Anton Butler, 28, involved in a possible drug deal inside a vehicle outside Bethel Townhomes, where they were working security. When they approached the vehicle, Butler put narcotics in his mouth and ran from the scene, the deputies said. The deputies chased down the suspect and used the stun gun on him during a struggle. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
