Two vans carrying at least eight passengers crashed Wednesday morning in Madison County, injuring at least six people, including several children—one of whom was ejected from a vehicle. The accident happened at the intersection of county roads 300 South and 500 West near Lapel about 7:30 a.m. when one van ran a stop sign. Two adults and four children were inside one van and at least two passengers were in the other vehicle. Two passengers were airlifted to Methodist Hospital and others were taken by ambulance to area hospitals.
