The 30,000-square-foot Youth Arena will debut as the site of 4-H Horse & Pony classes and events. The fairgrounds' newest building will also host livestock shows, draft horse competitions and other events during the fair's 17-day run.
The building will be officially dedicated during the fair on Aug. 10.
The Youth Arena has a tinted glass and Indiana limestone exterior. Its inside boasts an arena floor with easy access for both people and livestock. Fair officials say the building's floor is comparable to that of the Fairgrounds' Coliseum, which is in the midst of a $53 million renovation.
