Novitex plans closure, 155 job losses in Plainfield

Novitex Enterprise Solutions, a Stamford,Conn.-based document-management company, said it plans to close its offices in Plainfield, putting 155 employees out of work.    

The company said in a letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development dated Monday that it expects to begin closing operations at 2799 Reeves Road in late August with permanent closure occurring by early September.

Novitex, which was known as Pitney Bowes Management Services until last October, said 71 of the employees are entry-level customer service associates. Another 42 are associate customer service reresentatives.         

Pitney Bowes announced another closure in Plainfield last May when it told state officials that 137 employees would lose their jobs at a warehouse at 2800 Airwest Blvd.
