Pence announced Tuesday that personnel director Anita Samuel and former workforce development commissioner Scott Sanders are leaving the administration.
Sanders is leaving to take a job running the National Association of State Workforce Agencies in Washington, D.C. Pence appointed a new workforce development commissioner last month, but kept Sanders on in a deputy role. Samuel is leaving to spend more time with her family and seek unspecified private sector work.
The moves follow a handful of other top departures from the administration. Former Family and Social Services Administration secretary Debra Minott left in June, in the middle of top-level negotiations over expanding Medicaid coverage.
In August, William VanNess announced he was resigning as the state health commissioner.
