The fall arts season is just a few weeks away. The summer is winding down. But there's still plenty to do in this late-summer arts limbo.

Here are a few choices.

"The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat"

Indianapolis Opera kicks off its season early with this full production of Michael Nyman’s opera about a man with an unusual mental illness. Even more interesting: It’s based on a true story chronicled in the same-titled boo by neurologist Oliver Sacks.

Expect her to end the set with “Let It Go.” Expect her to include “Defying Gravity.” Expect something from her recent Broadway show “If/Then.” And expect some pop and rock songs in the mix when the “Frozen”/”Wicked” star returns to town.
