Lesson.ly, which sells cloud-based employee training software, boosted its employee count, added clients and expanded its office space in August.

The firm, which operates in the former Clemens Vonnegut School at 407 Fulton St. downtown, added 2,500 square feet last month, effectively doubling its footprint. It also added three employees, boosting its employee count to 23, and took on 28 new clients. It now has 180 clients, including Lyft, ModCloth and the United Way of Central Indiana.

This time last year, it had about five employees and 30 clients, CEO Max Yoder said.

Lesson.ly was founded in 2012 and began generating revenue in spring 2013. It landed $1.1 million in venture capital last December. Its backers include all three ExactTarget co-founders: Chris Baggott, Peter McCormick and Scott Dorsey.

Yoder declined to disclose revenue, but said he expects 2015 revenue to be four times that of 2014.•
