Subscribe NowUnion 50, a downtown Indianapolis eatery, bar and entertainment venue, was the only dining spot in Indiana to make this year’s list of the “100 Hottest Restaurants in America,” named by online reservation service OpenTable.
OpenTable said the 2016 list “highlights hip new restaurants, hot spots, celebrity chefs and avant-garde restaurateurs.”
The honorees were picked after OpenTable analyzed more than 5 million reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants across the country — all submitted by verified diners.
The 100 restaurants selected for the 2016 list came from 27 states.
Union 50, which opened in mid-2014 in a former union hall at 620 N. East St., also made the 2015 version of the list. IBJ reviewed the restaurant shortly after it opened.
The eatery is owned by the Cunningham Group, which also operates Mesh on Mass and Bru Burger Bar.
